A Short Review: HTC Evo 4G LTE

HTC in launching superior smartphones year after year. HTC Evo 4G LTE is the upcoming smartphone which has many impressive features. It is to be launched in U.S. on May 18. The estimate price is approx $200. This smartphone will be launched on the behaviour of a two-year contract at Sprint.

However, this smartphone is quite similar and looks like the HTC’s One-Series smartphones on T-Mobile and AT&T. HTC Evo 4G LTE is based on latest Android version-Ice Cream Sandwich which is an identical software. Camera is built with a lot of inter options in it and is really powerful but not much powerful as iPhone and Nokia Lumia 900’s camera.

HTC Evo 4G LTE is pretty similar to the One X. The same features are:

  • Dual Core 1.5 GHz Benchmark-Breaking Processor
  • F/2.8MP Camera
  • User Interface Sense 4.0
  • Core Experience is same

HTC Evo 4G LTE is designed with a 4.7” High-Resolution Display as like the One X. But apart from the display size, there are many different features and looks of EVO. It has Super-LCD Display with dimensions 1280X720. The thickness of EVO is about 0.35-inch. The screen round corners are made of gunmetal grey breeze.

There is another great feature in EVO. The kickstand pops out whenever to watch any video or any other work. It is rounded with a red metallic band and it pops out like a stand. But there is no such use of this. However, there is no basic use of the kickstand feature in EVO.

The camera button on the bottom right side of the EVO is becoming a problem for users. Many people mentioned that the button got accidentally pressed whenever they make any call. However, the camera button is fixed any easy to use but the accident pressing holds the use of EVO.

EVO has a HD Sound function to make calls as like the Skype HD calls. Simply, EVO is able to make HD voice calls. The 4G LTE used in the name of the smartphone is also to be noticed. 4G is used there but there is no 4G Internet at all. You will be amazed to see the 3G speed shown in the status bar.

Since the Sprint will not activate the LTE, EVO users have to be happy and satisfied in 3G speed.Simply, the speed of the HTC Evo 4G LTE is 19 to 20 times much slower than the LTE’s Speed. It has an average data speed of 516Kbps for downloading and 383Kbps for uploading. As compared to Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Nexus had a data speed of 9,399Kbps for downloading and about 7,436Kbps for uploading.

HTC Evo 4G LTE will be distributed to just six cities in United States firstly. Then, after notifying the demands it will be distributed further. So, may be you will loose it. So, we will further discuss on this new upcoming smartphone after it’s launching.

Yes John, it’s overall a nice smartphone for $200. However it has some disadvantages too but overall it is good enough. Lets attend more in future. :)

Yes, that was good. But the Evo has 4G LTE on Sprint feature which is not in HTC Wildfire.
